here to talk about all of this, we have a great panel, van lathen, we have former senator al franken, we have former senate candidate, joe pinion and rabbi, rolling stone writer and former law clerk for merrick garland, jay michaelson. great to have all of you here. i barely know where to begin with the supreme court. there are so many things that have just been degreeisclosed a revealed that are ethics problems. let's start with harlan crow who we know has already bankrolled clarence thomas's trips for 20 years, but now we know that he has also bank rolled clarence thomas's nephew. so clarence thomas has raised his nephew from the time i think the boy was 6 basically acting as his father, and he sent him to a private boarding school, and that boarding school costs about $54,000 a year, maybe $60,000 a year. and it turns out that harlan crow has been paying at least for it appears two years of that boy's tuition, and clarence thomas, senator, never disclosed that. what are we to make of this? >> well, i think that clarence thomas has a problem, which is he doesn't report income he's g

. ♪ >> when al franken was a senator, he actually put this in writing about his fellow member of thean most of my other colleagues like ted cruz. and i hate ted cruz. there are a couple of extraordinary things about that statement. the first is that senators never give you the slightest hint of who they personally dislike in the senate. no other senator has ever made a statement like that. but al franken was correctly confident that the one senator you could say that about in the history of the senate was ted cruz. it just seems so obvious to him how unlikable ted cruz is. the other extraordinary thing about that statement is that there was no rush of republican senators jumping forward to say, that's not true, i love ted cruz. not one senator was moved to rush to ted cruz's defense on the likability issue when it was raised by i'll franken. amazing. democratic texas congressman colin allred, who announced today he is running against rafael edward cruz, seems to recognize that texans don't vote for ted cruz ted cruz because they like him. they vote for him simply because he's a repub
