with david muir. >> good evening, thanks for joining us on this memorial day holiday. t johnson and for david tonight. and we begin with a desperate search after a six story apartment building collapsed in davenport, iowa. crews worked through the night, helping people escape, pulling others out from under the rubble. amazingly, finding everyone alive. but now, the city has announced demolition of the building will begin tomorrow morning, leaving all of its residents homeless. a setting site here, the back of the 84 your unit apartment building sheared away. because it's exposed, water pouring out of broken pipes. authorities say the collapse also triggered a gas line break. rescue teams including k-9 units rushed to the scene. seven people were rescued in the hours after the collapse. one more early this morning. city officials say they previously received complaints about the building and it was undergoing repairs when it collapsed. abc's alex perez lead is off out the scene in davenport. >> reporter: tonight, the investigation underway after the terrifying collapse o
