james. there's a marker out there today denoting that as the location of the first shot of the civil war, morris island is really cool. that's where fort wagner was and where edmund ruffin was. but that has changed a lot due to tides. and so there's nothing out there. all the earthworks have been washed away and there's no monuments or markers, anything else like that. and it's only by boat. so it's kind of difficult to get out there. but yeah, so you have multiple sites to check out in there. but charleston overall is a is a beautiful city in. a lot of people associated with this initial story, what ha there during the civil. but the history goes all the way back. like i said, even before revolutiarwar. and you know a lot of the original buildings and sites exis so it's it's a wonderful place to visit and to really, you know, involve yourself in a lot of history. there but. yes, so thank you very. oh, if you want to read more about these if you want to read about the initial, i definitely recommend allegiance by david detzner. it's a very good overview of that first battle. if you want to know
