if i add in the humidity, the feels like temperature in omaha is 112. in d.c., 107.on the way to get rid of this oppressive heat. it's hot this weekend in some spots. 85 more record highs across mainly the eastern half of the united states. there's severe weather today. tonight into chicago, this will fire up this evening, roll through chicago and clear out your heat. it will eventually, be 3:00 in the more than, get into detroit. lightning, thunder with that. you may wake up from that. cleveland, same story. this is the relief we have been waiting for. the cold air comes in. chicago, 93 today. 61 by sunday morning. that's the dramatic drop-off. getting rid of the humidity, the temperatures. look closer where you are. there's severe weather to your west. we are watching this. these storms are popping very, very quickly and putting down lightning quickly as well. if you are out at a ball game or at a picnic, whatever you are doing, these things could get nasty real, real quickly. even for you, new york, d.c., temperatures are dropping. this is the worst, two more days

but dallas is it 101, omaha, nebraska right now sitting at 102 degrees. 92 in chicago. 97 in nashville and dc place. it's very muggy today. 93 degrees right now. that does need to take into account. there feels like temperature. so if we take a look at where all of these heat advisories are throughout the day today, look at the portion of the country and these are the criteria. so these are the feels like temperatures. the look at the area and yellow up in northern new england. that's the coolest on the map. feels like 95. but take a look at this area in red. that means it feels like 105 degrees in that huge stretch of the country. want to take washington, d.c., is an example because there feels like today 104. they are going to get a little bit of a break tomorrow and then you see they really start to get some relief as we head into sunday. but it maybe think about humidity. i'm from the east coast originally. so i know how that feels. and this is my new mcgee cast. you can see what it's dry. we get the smiley face, humid, you get and then it goes, you know, from there and you can see
