reporter jeff moody, who joins us live live from portland. good morning to you, jeff. >> good morning. well, yes, this was supposed to be the day, the day that the first of the asylum seekers arrive here in portland port. there's a welcome meeting that's been planned by the home office and dorset council that's supposed to be taking place on the port at 9:00 this morning. i've heard that it's still happening, which is quite strange considering as the asylum seekers aren't actually arriving today at all. originally they were supposed to be 50 of them arriving. then we heard it was 25. and then fairly late last night we were told that there are none at all coming today, although apparently they are still coming this week, possibly as early as tomorrow. delay has tomorrow. well, the delay has been with fire safety . been to do with fire safety. we're not exactly sure what the issue is, but we do know that wiltshire and dorset fire service have been providing the home office with various bits of guideline and various advice around this issue. and that really is all we know

moody's. joining us now, jeff klingelhofe klingelhofer. what did you make of the downgrade?conomy for a while. the first 500 basis points is what matters and that first 500 basis points of rate hikes is acting on the consumer, it's acting on the corporate balance sheet, it's generally slowing the economy and so i would say it's reasonable to expect that banks are going to continue to deteriorate but really it should have happened a while ago. maria: are there threats right now, jeff, because let's face it. you've got more debt rolling over this year that is going to come due. you've got worries about commercial real estate. so are there new threats right now that moody's is actually identifying? >> i think there's new threats within the last couple of months, absolutely. but again, the commercial real estate story is something that everyone expected as rates rose and really the story played out with silicon valley bank and others a number of months ago. the one thing i will say is a number of the larger banks are actually pretty well insulated and well capitalized at this po
