state attorney general rob bonta announced the agreement this morning alongside several district attorneysing prosecutors from alameda county. san mateo and san francisco starting in 2015. officials say undercover inspections looked into unsecured dumpsters at 16 kaiser hospitals and offices. paper records containing information of more than 7700 patients were discovered, as well as biological waste. the oakland based health care giant says it hired a third party consulting agent and conducted trash audits at its facilities in an effort to improve compliance. kaiser also modified procedures to improve the handling storage and disposal of waste. the city of palo alto today broke ground on its expansion of john boulware park. this will be a $4.2 million renovation. there will be a new climbing dome dog park and shaded picnic area. more native trees and plants will also be added to the park. the project is expected to finish in fall 2024. this marks the city's first park expansion in more than 20 years. a bay area nonprofit focused on affordable housing receives a multi-million dollar donatio
