>> reporter: that's right, jake. listen over the last six days we have watched as 83 hostages have been freed by hamas. some of them as part of the framework agreement between israel and hamas. the last two women we saw were not part of the framework agreement. they are russian/israel citizens freed based on a side agreement between hamas and the russian government. but the scenes were something to behold. we have watched the last six days as we have seen scenes of families reunited with loved ones after 50 days or so of captivity but continue we saw what was effectively the israeli community as a whole, welcoming these people home. we have seen these scenes and we understand those russian women have now arrived at a hospital just moments ago. we are still waiting to see, jake, what the fate is of those ten israeli women and children who are set to be released today as part of the broader framework agreement. we expect that would happen tonight but so far no sign they have been handed over yet to the red cross. >> yo

wow, jake, what a culmination of a lot of work.o the fact that this judge granted this petition for writ of habeas corpus, what does it mean now? >> well, it means his conviction was overturned. and now, the commonwealth of pennsylvania has 180 days to decide whether they are going to set c.j. free or whether they're going to retry his case. and the commonwealth will be represented by the district attorney of philadelphia, and a division in the district attorney's office has already ruled that c.j. was denied sixth amendment rights and was not given a competent attorney. so i expect, i do not know this for a fact, but i expect that ultimately, the district attorney of philadelphia will free c.j. again, i do not know that for a fact. since his office has already ruled that c.j. did not have adequate representation and since c.j. has already done 12 years in prison for a crime that i do not believe he could have committed, a crime that nobody was seriously injured in, much less killed. i think that ultimately, c.j. will be a free man

well, you know, i would start by quoting the 1st sentence in, in jake's very interesting article. and that 1st sentence was not thinking international politics is inevitable. and i would take issue with that analysis because i think some things are inevitable. number one, change in the distribution of power, right? we go back to the 1700 and we saw how early world sheer from the east to the west. and europe in north america together, had been at the top of the heat, leading the path for quite some time. we now see our beginning to shift from west to east and from work this out. that's going to make the world more difficult and we're unpredictable. more on certain, the united states is not going to be able to call the shots in the same way that it used to. we're going to have to get used to a multi polar tomorrow. we're gonna have to get used to. pearl isn't an ideological diversity because that's the world that we're headed toward. that seems to need to be inevitable. that haven't been said. i would agree with j that there's a lot of room for tainting that world and channeling a m
