martin luther king jr. the civil rights leader would have been 95 years old. he was honored in the bay area with marches and music festivals. to honor his legacy, san francisco leaders led thousands of marchers from the caltrain station to yerba buena gardens. it was a tribute to king's march from selma to montgomery, alabama, in 1965. many marchers got to san francisco on board what was called the freedom train run by caltrain. it starts in san jose and on board there was singing and lessons on dr. king's life. we talked to teachers who brought students along for the ride. >> i'm a teacher. so i'm also bringing students to understand and get a sense of his work and the impact that he's had on a lot of communities here, especially the african american community. >> this trip with the youth, it was crazy. it was loud and explosive, but they partied all the way and their sign said, "peace, love, and unity" as well as "jesus is the answer." so we're looking forward to not giving up that dream. >> here we have a chance to remember people who fought, black, white,
