joining me now is san francisco sheriff paul miyamoto. sheriff, thank you for being with us. i know you've had a busy morning today. >> absolutely happy to be here, though. stephanie thank you. >> well, to start off, since this law is now blocked again, what does this mean across the state? and here in san francisco ? >> well, right now we're waiting for a decision from the courts sometime in june or july. until that time, though, the law is not in effect and we are just going about business as usual. we've been challenged here in california in scrambling to make sure that we uh- have our concealed weapons, carry permits squared away. uh- myself as the sheriff and the chief of police here in san francisco are both authorized to issue ccw concealed weapon permit to allow citizens to carry guns. and so there is an interest in where this law will land in terms of where people are going to be allowed to carry. >> yeah. all eyes towards that decision. now, last year, the supreme court struck down a new york law that required applicants to demonstrate good cause to get a license as
