back with me, ali velshi and susan del percio, -- it's interesting the disconnect?e most important. wage increases are now outpacing inflation, which wasn't the case for a couple of years. it takes a little while for people to register that, to understand that wage increases mean a couple things, it doesn't mean everyone's wages going up once the -- 1.3 jobs for everybody who doesn't have a job right now. they don't fully matched to each other but you have options, a lot of workers have options, and makes them feel better about the economy. they see prices coming down, i will say this, food inflation is the most thing that people complain about. inflation and food has fallen the most but you don't feel it because the egg is not less money than it was three years ago. it's just not going up at that price. that's why this is complicated. we haven't had inflation for 40 plus years in this country, we're not used to it, it's very upsetting, with wage growth outpacing inflation, you add -- again today. if donald trump or president, you see 20 tweets with spelling errors.

susan del percio, republican strategist. and former florida congressman, david jolly. welcome to you all. susan, you first. if the polls production is correct, and trump takes iowa, history suggests that it is necessarily guarantee he will be that nominee, then again, trump often defies precedence. how important is the hawkeye state is the grand scheme of things? >> for donald trump, i don't see how he loses it at this point, given the polling, and his strength on the ground. let's not forget that this is not like 2016 for donald trump. he just kind of wind debt. he put a lot of effort into his campaign on the ground. i think right now, ottawa is, according, to win the silver, if you will, in iowa. will it be nikki haley or wrong desantis? i think momentum is on haley side. recently, i got to think about desantis. there is one thing that could lead him to a second place finish, that is a governor kim reynolds, popular governor of iowa, has endorsed him, and does have a ground operation that, in the middle of a snowstorm, and record lows, people will come out for her. if

let's bring in democratic strategist bazell smikle and susan del percio. new hampshire has been called haley's last stand. how big or little does she have to win or lose by today to prove she should and can stay in this race and be competitive? >> i believe she has to win it to really look like there is a movement and a path for her to go forward to south carolina and super tuesday. now, she is trying to lower expectations. but as ali vitali said, when you come in second of a two-man race or two-person race, you're losing that race. you lost it. but if she does come in within five, it can make a difference. i've been disappointed with the energy coming from the haley campaign. it seems that the governor, chris sununu, is just more into it and really barnstorming the state. more than haley. >> you think just fatigue for her? >> i don't know, right? even leaving iowa, coming in this week after iowa, or last week, she should have -- shouldn't have been out there. she should have had a lot of energy. i think that's what they're talking about on the ground that
