north bay has. in two waves i'll show you how the last two hours has gone and how the next six hours will go. the rain has come across the north bay. it started raining through sonoma county about the 8:00 hour. if we put the numbers on here, look at the difference. we've already gotten 0.3-inch of rain in santa rosa so far at this point. you haven't gotten anything in san francisco yet. so all the action has been up in the north bay and you got 0.11-inch of rain in napa and look what happens from oakland and san francisco, all these numbers are zero. you haven't gotten anything yet. we know this storm has the potential to drop 0.3-inch of rain because it's done it already up in the north bay. let's put this now in back into the forecast imagery and show you how it plays out from here. we'll switch from live first alert doppler, put it into the high resolution model and that rain does weaken moving south. you may not get 0.3-inch of rain in santa rosa from this. you'll probably get about a 0.1-inch

stephanie, it's the late afternoon in the north bay. and the evening hours, we'll get that level one system that will bring a line of rain through the bay area. as we look at live doppler seven right now, it's well up to the north, and we're only going to get the tail end of it. but still rainfall will be with us in gusty winds later on. 47 in fremont it is 49. in oakland, 50 san francisco and up in the north bay cooler with 43 napa and sonoma. so we have the cooler temperatures to the north and along the coast. it's eight degrees milder this morning in livermore, so the level one system with the gusty southerly winds and a little bit more in the north bay than everywhere else when it's all said and done by five 6:00 cloverdale, santa rosa getting into some rain and then seven, 8:00 the front passes through san francisco. and later on tonight the south bay. so cloudy skies, some sunshine here and there. but throughout the day we're dry. showers begin after about 4 or 5:00 to the north will be in the low 60s for our warmest locations, and

upper 50s in the north bay. of the bay area as that rain moves southward late tomorrow it will cool things down again. and here is the accuweather. well, not the forecast yet. this is the storm impact scale, a level one storm moving in tomorrow. it will produce rain in the late afternoon, noon and evening. highest totals will be in the north bay, which is where the rain will start before it sweeps southward and eastward with a gusty southerly wind. here's a forecast animation starting at noon, at which point some rain will already be falling in the north bay. it'll be into the evening hours before the steadier, heavier rain sweeps in and continues southward and eastward to the rest of the bay area late tomorrow night into early monday morning. the rain is likely to end before the morning commute on monday, and by 11:00 tomorrow night, rainfall totals under a quarter of an inch south of the golden gate, a quarter of an inch or more. more in the north bay. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. we have level on

the heaviest rain will be in the north bay. nd then as it pushes through the rest of the bay, the east bay and south bay. by late in the evening hours, there's not a whole lot to it, so we will see more rain to the north and then we get a break monday, monday night the commute well up to the north, could see a few showers, and then this two pushes through late at night. they'll be more widespread light rain through the early morning hours, and then we'll wake up with that sunrise, the wet pavement and a pretty nice tuesday afternoon rainfall for tonight. system focused in the north bay trending a little bit drier here from nothing in the south bay to a 10th. that's about it. and that maybe not even a quarter of an inch as we head to the north. so that second system could see a little bit more rain with that, which would bring us up to maybe a quarter of an inch in the south bay. a third to a half inch in the north bay. and this does mean some snow in the sierra nevada, but it also means wind here throughout the evening. so the w

downpour is moving right through the central part of the bay area right now, sweeping down from the north bay. so the peninsula, south bay, east bay will some will get some of this rainfall as well. it's a level one storm on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale. so overnight more periods of rain and showers. highest totals in the north bay. occasional wind gusts. here's the forecast animation starting at midnight. notice by about 4:00 tomorrow morning. this storm will be just about over, but wet areas on the pavement will be left for morning commuters and then tomorrow evening and overnight tomorrow night, another little weak storm moves through. and that will be our last rainfall for a while, leaving rainfall totals generally ranging from about a quarter of an inch in the south bay to nearly half an inch or more around the bay shoreline, and certainly well over a half inch over much of the north bay. overnight, low temperatures will be generally in the low to mid 40s up in the north bay, a little bit chillier with lots of mid to upper 30s there. then tomorrow's highs uh- upper 50s at t

this is 11:00, 11 to 1:00, the north bay. it's not until the middle of the afternoon it spreads to the east bay, the south bay, the peninsula, and then it pushes through through the overnight hours, stopping this saturday afternoon. we've got that cold air in place. the possibility of thunderstorms and another wave of rain, a heavier wave on sunday, saturday at about seven 8:00 through the overnight hours. and then it looks like sunday will be our drier day, but it's going to be cool. a lot cooler than it has been. so starting out with about a 10th to a quarter of an inch for most of us to about a third. and then we add up the totals and we could see about an inch around ben lomond through early sunday. here's a look at the snow. we've got a winter weather advisory and a winter storm warning, making for anywhere from a foot to two feet of snow. so heading out, grab the umbrella for later on today. upper 60s in fremont. low 60s in the north bay, and the accuweather seven day forecast string of level one systems through sunday.

about now as we make our way through the morning, most thunderstorm potential does stay up in the north bay will see a better chance of thunderstorms for the rest of us. that's not to say the rest of the bay area will be dry through the day. just expect your heaviest of rainfall for the latter half of the day for most areas, 06:30pm, right here. heavy pockets of rain rolling through marine sonoma and napa counties by 45. we have heavy downpours for the rest of the bay area too. and look at that. a little bit of rain snow mix going to be happening right around the summit of mashed mission peak. the blows east of san jose and snow level falling to exceedingly low elevations in the sierra nevada. this is way down into the sierra foothills tonight into tomorrow morning. so we will have snow level accumulation on or upper peaks here in the bay area. you can actually see that occurring in inches of snow on some of these mountain peaks. really? the noteworthy snow, though, is what we have in the sierra nevada with 10 plus feet of snowfall expected in areas like even donner summit. as you make your

so it will be cooler in the north bay as the rain arrives first. but we should see a lot more coverage as we get into this evening. at 9:30, we're seeing a lot of green covering the bay area, and then more rain overnight. and then on friday, the next storm system comes in. now, this one looks a little bit heavier and may bring the chance of some thunderstorms on saturday before this system wraps up. and if you do have some outdoor plans on easter, heads up that there could be some lingering showers even into sunday evening. we'll be watching out for that. with these two storm systems coming our way, in total here is a look at how much rain we may see. in these areas in red farther to the north and along the coastline, that's about an inch and a half of rainfall, maybe closer to 2 inches for those higher elevations. most of us getting about 1/2 inch to 1 inch of rainfall. once again, that's over several days, but it will bring those temperatures down in san jose. on friday we'll only reach 58 degrees. warmer temperatures, we will get that for the mid

and as a zoom on in, it's coming from the north bay. fairfax remains to see the heaviest downpour tonight. and here's the future cast model so midnight. we're going to be raining towards the east bay. you can see that yellow sell their that be moving towards oakland and fremont and then it starts to taper off by the overnight hours. and then monday morning's commute looks dry. you can expect a similar pattern for monday night into tuesday. so you can see this is lunchtime monday and then monday at dinner time that rain come through in the overnight hours. so this is tuesday overnight and then the commute tuesday looks cloudy. but we look dry for the day and then we dry out for the rest of the week. this is wednesday. we are going to see some nice sunshine spring is coming. so here's the projected rain totals. it looks like it's scaled back now. it was almost half an inch about an hour ago. these models tend to change here and there. so we'll see what verifies. but we can at least say at least a quarter of an inch to half an inch for the

. >> in the north bay. but they hope police have arrested a man accused of setting a fire at that target store. we're told that the suspect cause more than 4 million dollars in damages. this is video from last month showing that fire burning in the paper towel aisle. the storm did have to close for a week for all those repairs. it did reopen over the weekend. the suspect has not been named but fully how police are telling us. they're thankful for the community's help in finding him. let's see what's happening outside right now here at san francisco international airport, there was a plane flying there across the runway. we've got a lot of rain over the past couple days. kyle is now going to give us those totals from over the weekend. so how do we do? >> well, you know, we did pretty good as far as our season total. some taking back to october. 1st, a look at our water year and you can see there were up 223% of normal in the north bay. that's what santa rosa, just 132 inches of rain. san francisco's that 121

a light storm early on this morning along the coast and in the north bay.re could be an isolated, spotty light shower, but it's really this afternoon and evening that will find a briefly heavy line of rain moving through and a little bit of a breeze from time to time. here's future weather 130 this afternoon. we have those light showers focused in the north bay first and then into the evening. here's the front as it crosses through. this is 830 tonight. briefly heavy downpours, but it's a fast moving front. by about 11 p.m. it's over with behind it. tomorrow morning we may have 1 or 2 isolated showers to begin the day, but the main front has already moved through rainfall totals. it's not a lot of moisture headed our way. we'll find less than a half of an inch of rain coming our way, and most of that falling late tonight. a winter storm warning begins at 11 a.m. today for the west slope of the sierra. we'll find anywhere from 6 to 16in of snow above 5500ft. up to two feet possible over our highest peaks, with the heaviest snow falling later on tonight and i
