senior national correspondent steve osunsami is on the scene.morning. >> reporter: good morning, michael. this fbi office is north of atlanta in a suburb in an industrial park. while authorities don't believe this was terrorism or an attack, they were still very concerned. the driver of this orange suv is in police custody this morning after trying to follow a vehicle into the gates of atlanta's fbi main office north of the city. fbi agents and armored trucks surrounded the vehicle shortly after noon on monday. authorities say the driver with south carolina plates would not stop and security had to use a popup physical barrier to block the suv, smashing the vehicle. guards say the driver got out of the car and was quickly arrested without incident. he was transported to a hospital downtown. >> some of our special agents who were passing by apprehended him. at this time we are looking at both state and federal charges. >> reporter: they say the agents, with their robot, seen looking in a trunk, did so as a precaution and found no weapons and no e
