and thank you, cece bann and and the gaithersburg book festival. i'm delighted to be here. and good morrow to everyone. of course i do. as my son says, i commit to the bet. so am wearing the hat and i thought i would just start with a very brief overview of the concept of the book, and then holly and i can dig into some of the juicy issues that that it brings up. and by the way, i'm very jealous that holly got to be on jeopardy and it's very easy to lose jeopardy. well, it's hot. it's hard to get on. maybe it's easy to lose, but it's hard to get on. so this book as holly said, i felt i needed to write. now because it is a sequel to a book i wrote many years ago called the year of living biblically. and that book came about because i grew up in a very secular home. no little religion, but i wanted learn about the bible and religion. i love to learn about things by diving in, by immersing myself. there's method acting. i try to do method writing. so i followed. the bible is literally as possible and that meant the ten commandments. it meant love your neighbor and be fruitful
