but dave spahr, hey, dave. >> okay. good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody.off as we traditionally do with a lot of fog. again, it's a little bit more aggressive today, but it will peel away few folks in the afternoon and around the bay inland that already done so and it's a nice cooling mechanism as we get that ernest onshore wind at work. now, sfo because of this fall, we're seeing a minor delay about 40 45 minutes or so. there you get an idea. the fog bank right behind us here a little bit. now we take a look at the radar because we do actually have some spots appear on at least the state radar. now, this low is kind of insulating us and clearing us out, at least for the clouds are aloft. it doesn't help so much for the fog that takes some time. but there you see the lightning strikes there and there are some rain showers, us. some rain has been collected with that in the mountains. this is pretty much south of tahoe. however, and that will flare up again. it looks like tomorrow and maybe even as late tuesday as the pattern starts to change a little bit. n

well, we've got dave spahr with a look at what you can expect once you step outdoors a day. james, good morning. good morning, everybody. and at this late hour now at 9 o'clock, almost 10 o'clock excuse me. >> we still have some fog hang around for the golden gate bridge, providing a little bit of minor relief and along the coast as well. this is not very widespread. this is only at this little spot here. elsewhere in the bay, things of open up the sunny and hot remaining. but this is a little mother. nature's air-conditioner dock right there. there you have the excessive heat. the warning zone and total coverage. meanwhile, the red flag warning is with us all the way through saturday. remember for those higher elevations now temperature check for you were at 78 fairfield, but 85 for any act at this hour, up north, mostly in the 70's. but lower 80's already taking hold in tri valley. this still compares to yesterday with numbers trailing today at 10 o'clock. we're still behind what our numbers were. so things are looking up on that front. we'll get some afternoon breezy cond

and dave spahr in on this monday morning. a good one, everybody.have the morning fog checking in here, but not enough to cause any delays at sfo. looking good to start the day we see the bright lights here. no problem. and as far as anything in the features affecting us directly, not really just the local fog that we get in the local breezes that will have later on today. it was some showers north of reno, just a little bit there. back to the fog, as you can see, most of that, the parts as we approach the noon hour, little problem areas along the coast sometimes tends to be the case a little bit. current number 63 for antioch, most readings in the east 60 ish to upper 50's 50's covering the north bay and 63 san jose. most readings across the bay are right on the numbers they were from yesterday if not take a couple degrees away. so we're pretty close. got a bit cooler to start the day. 64 at 09:00am by high noon. we're at 77 looking for high temperatures today tomorrow to be pretty mild with all of that. while that longer range forecast for you, ch

dave spahr. good morning. >> james reyna, good morning. good morning, everybody. try to look for that silver lining as much as we can here because today, tomorrow going to be probably the 2 hottest days. we're looking at as we finish off this heat wave. but this morning we've had a little bit in the way of some fog and that marine layers help doing its task of at least trying to cool down some parts of the bay course. san francisco. you're not in the heat advisory longer east bay shoreline. you're getting some relief with some of this ground fog at first, however, there it is. yes, looks as if he'd all the way till the middle of next week. we also have that fire concern with the red flag warning for those higher elevations. you see them in the santa cruz mountains, north bay hills, also in the east bay as well. now we are getting again that marine layer that helps spill into the lower levels that keeps bit more humid or keep those dew points. a little been looking at them all week. and they've be

dave spahr with a look at our weekend ahead.nd the continuation, david, these hot temperatures, the saga continues. good morning, james. good morning. all. >> only thing is this morning. we had a little bit of cooling action around the immediate bay complements of that ocean cooled air. that kind of settle across a good chunk of the bay. you can see kind of hang around the golden gate. that's about the only spot around the bay that doing so except along the water's edge. so that's kind of a common occurrence. winds are kind of scattered rain right now. you know, they're variable as we can see here. the general trend will be on shore a little bit this afternoon and into the evening hours. we'll get a little bit better cooling by the time we get latter portion of the weekend. 72 at this hour for napa. 73 for santa rosa. 91, meanwhile, for antioch. so they're racing ahead with lower 80's covering a good chunk of tri valley. but look at this. we're behind the numbers from yesterday by several degrees, even at this late hour or so. t

but luckily, we're breaking that today and dave spahr has got the forecast in for john today. yeah, good morning, james and ari. good morning, seasonality is what we're going to try to aim for at least the early part of the week. going to see those temperatures to be where they typically are in terms of average is still that will feel pretty nice. >> although there is another heat bump will call of this point as we finish off the week. sfo, you see the fog in place to look at about a 40 minute delay or so going on there. but that fog will take a while to mix out the radar imagery that we have. we had a little bit of action over the weekend. at least the loft in parts of the state. but you can see not much going on. once we get some heating in the mountains will get a couple stray showers or thundershowers. the fog cleared on out for most of the bay. by the time we get really, really before that time at the coastal keep some scattered clouds in there for good measure. temperatures really haven't moved. 64 antioch of tri valley, upper 50's 60 ish along the east bay shoreline wit

we have dave spahr joining us. good morning day. hey, good morning, reyna. good morning, everybody. and keep this gravy train goal and at least for a couple of days. good morning. and good morning, everybody. there's a shot of the east bay shoreline. you can see our traditional fog in place at the ground level. this is going to turn into cloud cover later on this morning. we'll get some some bay clearing, but it's going to be some stubborn areas as we go forward. check it out here are at high noon. still have some put a patch problems take along the coast going to be another overcast day coupled with that onshore wind. but in san francisco, you might even have maybe some sprinkles going along along with coast as well. the marine layer is kind of getting squeezed a little bit system up towards our north. kind of keeps temperatures down for couple days before we see some octane here, mid-week here you can see storm tracker 4, what's left over this front again, the atmosphere gets squashed a little bit here in the marine layer. we'll get again a couple little sprinkles or drizzle going

ok, well, let's talk about the dave spahr here with the forecast here and up deo, take their show that i think that's a little dated, though. does all go up there in the mountains? wishful thinking, though, but, you know, we have warm temperatures up there to. yeah, 90's. it looks like the entire weekend long as we've got going on here. so it will be plenty warm. still up there. just take it easy. lower 90's. it looks like tomorrow through sunday, early into the next week. mean on the home front, we have some of that fog that rolled on in still covers up the golden gate but provides a little bit of last-minute cooling. now, the suns joined us here last few hours were in the mix this out. this is usually the last stop along the journey. anyway, lower 70's for a lot of the east bay. for now, 82 antioch, up to the north bay 60's. got 59 for santa rosa. that's the cool spot there. 63 san francisco, 71 for san jose. but those numbers actually little bit down from where they were this time yesterday. so all of the marine layer comes back again tonight, not as intense, though. it doesn't look

dave spahr, as of course in the weather center with the latest for us a a good morning, stephanie.rning fog helping us out the temperature department here. >> keeping us kind of cool around the bay a little bit. now to fashion that will mix out for us. but we still have this afternoon. some scattered clouds in the forecast today. >> a different type of moisture coming in from the southeast. and that is somewhat reminiscent of the monsoon pattern. now, here's that for you. and there's that traditional fog bank. you can see up against the hills not causing major problems, but it says there this morning, as we mentioned, there's the scattered clouds. notice the bright lights popping up there a little bit. you got to get up there about 20 throughout 1000 feet or a little higher. that's we have saturation the atmosphere in at that point. temperatures are below freezing and you can sometimes get ice crystals to develop and when they start moving in rubbing against each other, that's when we get the lightning. and that's the problem. but the mountains today might get those scattered thund

this morning with a look at our forecast with dave spahr heyday.stephanie. good morning, everybody. a little bit of improvement we have for your weekend going on here as we see retrench a little bit, at least back to double digits. it looks like. >> we'll still see plenty of 90's going on. well inland, actually fewer. those fewer of those expected for tomorrow. so nice little break in the heat. spike department coming back monday. however, and we'll keep you abreast of how that pans out right now. first things first live shot coming into sfo. no delays being reported out that way. least not related to weather. air traffic air. here's a look at the winds kind of variable. we expect them to pick up a little bit more. so with the traditional onshore flow, although conditions remain quite dry inland. however, this is what's posing the safety power shutoff situation in the far east bay. you have a lot of 60 still in the east bay, speaking of which 70 for livermore, 79 for any act. but most of these readings are degree or 2 or better above where they wer

let's get you started this half hour with a look at your forecast with dave spahr high day.re starting to see some partial clearing going on or at least the thinning of some of those fog clouds going on. so >> you probably will see from your perspective a little bit more in the way of sun that we saw terday and on balance. we keep the cool temperatures a little bit of warming your to see inland today. this afternoon as we venture more into the 80's, there's the shot from san jose state. you can see now the sun making its way. purina way that morning fog, really you can see along the coast is kind of problematic all day. however, elsewhere, not as much of an issue. it looks like 68 going on for antioch. 62 livermore, most readings now getting into the 60's. some 50's hanging on for santa rosa and also for half moon bay. that ahead by a few degrees from where we were this time from yesterday, complements of some of the opening up in the skies. let's try about 78 at 1 o'clock and 4.82. as will be in the 80's for the early part of the week. but latter part of the week. looks lik

. >> let's get this half-hour started with a check of our forecast with dave spahr. >> hey, good morningg, everybody. still going to be a plenty toasty, but we're getting a little bit of relief happening today. and that will be also well was from yesterday. so we'll continue this a little bit today. you can see the fog already doing its action, however, next week, make no mistake about it. we're going to be hot, hot, hot yet again. here's a shot of half moon bay and the overcast skies that will improve a little bit this afternoon. not quite as clear as that we've seen certainly not from the week ahead. there's the battle ground. you're going to see him talk a little bit more about that. and just a little bit. but the week coming up ahead, we know the heat spikes coming, but it will break down fairly quickly. that's the good news. there's the onshore winds in place has been kind of breezy overnight and they're a good clip. you can see there double digits across the region. we're at 70 for antioch, most readings in the upper 50's now just about everywhere, except some 60's down south. and
