jose. we're at 71 degrees to get started in martinez. we're also quite warm for the start of our day at 9:00. it's already 82 degrees. if you have some outdoor activities to try to get done, you basically have until about 9 to 10:00 before it gets dangerous to be outside. our temperatures here will reach into the triple digits, reaching the peak at 2:00, and then gradually going back down. as we approach sunset this evening, we're going to see a high of 93 in oakland today and 96 in san jose. the problem with this heat for a lot of spots is we don't have a central air conditioning, so it's going to be a struggle to try to stay cool today and tomorrow for the 4th of july. maybe you have some people in town. you're going to be spending a little bit more time outside. just try to stay hydrated and that heat extends into friday as well as the weekend. really not much relief here in sight through the next seven days. and our overnight temperatures will be key to trying to recover from the high heat. will be in the mid 60s and a lot of spots.

currently the temperature is 71 degrees in fremont, 74 in san jose and 70 are pretty common around napa, sonoma, into vallejo, benicia, martinezkett and into concord, tri-valley, pleasanton and livermore at 72. same with the dublin area. and these temperatures are actually a little bit cooler than 24 hours ago. our satellite imagery is picking up. oh, a beautiful picture depicting the areas of low clouds. the marine layer hanging tight to the coast. these clouds will push back onshore again later tonight and march inland a good 60 miles. but this area of low pressure, it has a lot of cooler air associated with it. it's taken a nosedive into the bay area and our temperatures are below average for this time of the year. but wait, that changes. according to our futurecast. you can see the rotation right here in a clockwise fashion that indicates high pressure is building, and that's going to expand and warm us up beginning on wednesday through the end of the work week. today, enjoy the refreshing temperatures, banking between 63 degrees in pacifica, moss beach and montara beach to 85 degrees in gilroy. that's my outside number. o
