bayside now inland, we're above 100 degrees from san jose. southward, the hottest temperatures of the north bay and the interior east bay could be between 105 to 110 degrees on tuesday. so wednesday also a close runner up for the hottest day of the week, still 80s and 90s bayside. and now thursday, though technically right now not part of the heat advisory, which goes through wednesday, you may see that extended for another day, because one of the trends we're noticing is that the temperatures are taking time to cool down, and the cooling that we do see later this week doesn't look as significant as we had this weekend. so here's the culprit unusually strong high pressure, which will likely lead to the hottest temperatures of the year for bayside locations. as we head into friday. one item to watch mid level moisture coming up out of the south right now may see thunderstorms popping up around the sierra, but that might bring some temporary cooling. combined with a few coastal low clouds as we head into the weekend. so again, here's a look at

we've got 80s and 90s bayside, so warmer bayside tuesday than the high temperatures inland tomorrow, 90 to 100 degree temperatures inland. this is tuesday. similar look to wednesday. maybe not quite as hot around downtown san francisco as we lose that offshore breeze component. but tuesday, wednesday, and thursday, areas like concord and livermore likely stay in those upper 90s to near 100 degree temperatures. so three days will be in this heat. little hint of cooling here on the coast by thursday. but for more significant cooling, probably going to have to wait until friday and saturday. notice san francisco if we do get to the mid 80s around downtown, that would be the warmest day of the year. tuesday. then temperatures level off for the weekend and the valley certainly will heat up again. that's what we say. you just can't miss the change tuesday. it's as soon as you step outside. you're going to feel it. by the weekend though, the sea breeze does return, so hopefully the fog time lapse we're seeing right now could see it again next weekend as we cool off those temperatures in the

as you can see, inland 80s and low 90s bayside temperatures in the 70s and seconds. but watch what happens to the highs once we get to wednesday, monday and tuesday. you see those temperatures starting to climb up mid to upper 90s. and right now tuesday is trending to be the hottest day, potentially of the year around the inner bay and coast, with 80s and 90s bayside as this ridge of high pressure builds back just after the end of the weekend, the heat makes a big impact on that 7-day forecast. but again, it does come after the weekend. so monday, tuesday and wednesday, temperatures climbing on up with those numbers near 100 degrees inland. watch for those breezy and dry hills as well for fire danger around the middle part of next week. those are some big numbers. thank you rob. that's going to do for us here at

bayside and along the coast temperatures will run several degrees below average by tomorrow afternoon. the rain chances will arrive on wednesday. we'll focus on the north bay here from noon through 5:00 p.m. wednesday and you can see that band of showers holding together but falling apart as it tries to cross the golden gate. the best chance of showers is north of i-80. we'll have more forecast models to look at closer to the event arriving, but at least there's a chance of showers. the best chance is for the north bay heading into wednesday afternoon. the cool air that settles in won't last long. here is the ten-day temperature outlook. even in san francisco we go from temperatures running 5 or 6 degrees below normal through the end of the workweek to a big climb in temperatures over the weekend, even touching 80 degrees in san francisco monday next week. temperatures inland spike to around 90 degrees in san jose from sunday at least through tuesday and then going down the other side of the roller coaster with the hottest temperatures, as usual, in the interior portions of the east b

let's show you some of the temperatures around the bay area bayside, inland valleys trending a little bit cooler, but there's a big exception to the rule here that jumps out. look at livermore. still 101 degrees. no real change across interior portions of the tri-valley, but we're seeing the cooling around the inner bay san francisco, 66 degrees 85, in san jose. but look at concord up to 96 degrees now currently in san jose, 65 not seeing much in the way of low clouds, 64 in walnut creek. so our nighttime temperatures are trending a little bit cooler. 55 in san rafael, you can see a little bit of the fog and low clouds as you head south towards the bay and into san francisco, 56 degrees with lots of low clouds. right over downtown. we're seeing mostly 50s and 60s bayside, as we have those onshore winds ongoing that will bring in the low clouds across the bay into the interior valleys for the morning, and then more sunshine as we head into the afternoon. so the morning again begins with 50s and 60s. and just like we saw today, interior valleys south of san jose, as you get into the coy

you can see bayside locations really cooling down as the fog makes a comeback and the onshore winds pick up san mateo down to 70 degrees. san francisco not in the mid 80s, but near 70 tomorrow and the north bay highs in the 80s for sunday, so sunday looking pretty nice around the region. as you can see. another day similar to saturday with mostly 80s inland but things do change as we head towards monday. oh by the way, levi's stadium sunday afternoon. pretty comfortable there if those temperatures in the 80s around kickoff time, just after 105. but look where things are headed monday and tuesday. now we're back in the mid to upper 90s inland and look at san francisco on tuesday. a chance of mid to upper 80s around town, downtown and mid 90s around oakland and hayward. so clearly as we move into october, some of the hottest temperatures of the year right there around san francisco and the coast and this is the reason why summer sized ridge of high pressure, strong through about wednesday gives up that ground. as we finally get into wednesday night into thursday. so the roller coaster ride

tomorrow looks like 71 degrees 60s bayside from oakland down towards hayward and fremont. 65 in san mateo. windy there too. san francisco looking at low to mid 60s for highs and north bay temperatures in the 70s. so wind is going to be the big story tomorrow. breezy to start and then gusty especially through the san bruno gap and around the altamont pass. and the dublin grade will have those wind speeds 20 to 40 mile per hour gusts. and then the speed should start to come down as we head into monday morning. now, speaking of monday, more clouds and at times a few scattered showers possible, mainly for the first half of the day. and then as we head into monday afternoon, partly cloudy skies and a few isolated showers near the hills. so you got the shower chances monday. a bit of a break coming in tuesday and then a second system drops in on wednesday. notice those temperatures 60s and 70s that wednesday system will be the better chance of more widespread showers and the winter weather advisory out towards the sierra. elevations above 8000ft could be looking at some snow, but then by thursd

but look at these bayside temperatures on tuesday, downtown san francisco to oakland could be in the 80s and 90s on tuesday, more widespread 100 degree temperatures inland. even though this is the first day of october, the weather showing you summer sized ridge of high pressure building in from the west across northern california, reaching its peak tuesday into wednesday. then after that, we'll begin to see some cooling changes, high pressure weakens, so as we head towards thursday and friday, just towards the end of next week, we'll begin to see those 7-day forecast slowly cool off, but look at these numbers for san francisco. you would think these are inland temperatures, but they're not. i think tuesday there's a chance downtown san francisco could be looking at 90s. and that's pretty hot there for san francisco and the coast. inland areas. it's a three day stretch from monday through wednesday of 90s to above 100 degree temperatures in october, which is pretty unusual. we do cool down a bit towards thursday and friday, but before that beautiful weekend ahead, we get the cooling t

a few low 90s, inland 60s and 70s bayside. now sunday. very similar in terms of those temperatures, but get ready for some big changes as strong high pressure builds in monday into tuesday. this will lead to a big jump in those temperatures again. monday's highs similar to what we saw today, but right now tuesday is tracking even hotter with these updates more hundreds likely showing up for the valleys and possibly even some 90s closer to san francisco on tuesday. then the second half of the week, that high starts to weaken and our temperatures should start to cool down. it's really hard to believe we're into the month of october and san francisco on that first day could be close to 90 degrees. so we've got this nice weekend, but monday through wednesday be prepared for that heat as those temperatures crank up valleys. 90s and 100 seconds likely in that period from monday through wednesday. cooler later in the week. so enjoy the relatively mild weekend heat just around the corner again. yes. san francisco's natural air conditioning will b
