kron four's justine waltman spoke with uc berkeley political science professor stephen fish. >>so is this a win for the trump team? >>not necessarily. i think that this delay and this is something that the democrats can't really complain that much about. you could argue this is preferential treatment and of course, in some sense it but this is a very special circumstance. we're in the final, you know, over the final stage of a presidential election and for president to be sentenced at this stage, would risk making the whole election look political. the whole trial look very politicized and that would risk making it looks like the democrats are trying to rather than be trump at the polls too long, you know, to use the courts to derail. now, of course, the democratic party and even the justice department don't don't control this joint or the judicial system, but it could create that appearance. so i don't think this is necessarily a good thing for trump. what's more not doing the sentencing now, the judge who's but been a very competent, very, you know. impartial judges. first,

i'm justine waltman. developing news comes to us now out of san francisco where san francisco police fired shots at a person they say had a gun near the powell street bart station. this happened shortly after 10 o'clock this morning and kron four's. dan kerman joins us live from san francisco where police have shared an update. dan, what do we know so far? >> well, we know is that they is man was originally found inside a parked car. then there was a chase ended up right here at the street bart station where police officers shot that man. this was there for entrance to the street station just reopened just a couple of minutes ago. it's been closed for much of the day. and still we have plenty of questions. and yet we only have a few answers to what went on with this police shooting. here inside the powell street bart station, where at least 2 san francisco police officers opened fire on a man they say had a gun. police say the incident began about 10. 21 officers patrolling the 400 block of jessie street

i'm justine waltman. high winds and dry conditions in the coming days during a heat wave that is toasting the bay area. we're going to straight now to our meteorologist kyla grogan for a look at what we can expect. yasser kind of ramping up into this today. and we are under heat advisory very wide. but then also you can see the excessive heat warnings are the areas in hot pink. so that certainly includes all of our interior areas. but notice. >> it's also bayside as well, that excessive heat warning. and that's where we could see some of the hottest temperatures now today. so far, we're holding relatively steady here with some low to mid-nineties. a few spots of popped above that. but you can see 95 degrees in livermore. 94 in fairfield where 93 down in san jose. and 95 new up in santa rosa. but around the bay itself, oakland now 90 degrees. 89 in hayward and you can see 80 degrees in downtown san francisco, blue skies. that's certainly part of the high pressure that is out there. a little bit of wind as

i'm justine waltman. we're going to get in san francisco where residents in april trail hill apartment complex are facing eviction deadline as the city is moving forward with plans to redevelop the site kron four's charles clifford is in san francisco with the details. >> well, the petro terrace complex has long been scheduled for demolition. the city's housing authority is moving forward with getting the remaining tenants out of the buildings. but there are some concern that these folks may have nowhere to go. wednesday morning, san francisco sheriff's deputies knocked on doors at this apartment complex in potrero hill informing at least one resident that she would have to leave. the apartment was then boarded up the san francisco housing authorities working to evict all remaining tenants from the patrol terrace complex. these apartments which were built in the 1940's and 50's are scheduled to be demolished. the site will then be redeveloped into mixed use housing as part of the city's hope sf project. t

kron four's justine waltman spoke with doctor katherine right out. i psychiatrist at kaiser permanente. santa rosa to learn more. so what do you think behind this troubling trend of this increase in youth suicide rates. >>yeah, that's a great question. you know, i think part of it has to do with awareness and we're detecting it with the covid-19 pandemic. there was an increased awareness symptoms across the nation due to this uge stressor we all shared and and i think our young people in particular felt that and there was an increased awareness around mental health issues. so certainly be able to understand what are the warning signs for someone at risk for suicide starting those conversations with you, the youth in your lives is an important starting point. so let's start what are some of the warning signs? sure. so it's good to focus on 3 things. people's words, their behaviors. and also they're feeling so people who are at risk for suicide. well, start to say things like i'm not worthwhile or might start to talk about they buy have changes in beha

kron four's justine waltman spoke with marin county community development director sarah jones for >>so how did you guys first find out about >>one of our staff was out on inspection tied to a septic permit application and they saw some liquid coming out of the clips that i with, you know, they're professional. i they could tell this didn't look just plain water. looks like wastewater evidence. and so they did some immediate testing. and then we did further testing and further investigation and saw that we weren't talking about just one spot. we were talking about this mile and a half stretch. that's how a lot of that was. my next question is how long this was because we showed the map. >>we were saying that their sewage seeping from the bluffs into the water. is that what you're also finding? >>that's what we're concluding it. i the only source of wastewater in this location would be the septic systems for the residences there. so i it would appear that there a septic affluent that seeking from seeping from porsche it from some of the septic systems or most likely many of the septic
