and of course, the sacramento valley, too. now we flip the page from wednesday into thursday. now we're into the middle and late portion of this week. we are still dealing with above normal conditions stretching anywhere from the east bay all the way up into the north bay. and for our friends in the santa clara valley, it's the whole state of california. for the next 6 to 10 days that's going to be dealing with above normal weather. so let's see those numbers real fast and how that plays out for some of our inland spots. daytime highs there still holding on tight to triple digit weather until thursday. that heat starts to break once we head into friday's forecast that area of high pressure starts to move. we're left with 80 and partly cloudy skies rolling into this weekend, and that's how we're kicking off early next week as well. once we head over into the bay. we're also noticing that warm up in communities like san francisco across the bay bridge into oakland with 90s expected today, 80s by tomorrow. we still have that marine layer. each morning it pulls back along the coas

watch what happens as we head into wednesday this heat really starts to build, especially in the sacramento valley. so the more east you live, the hotter it's going to be. areas like antioch concord, walnut creek will be dealing with triple digit weather throughout the next three days. so today take advantage of this cool weather we have. taking a look at the next seven days. we don't have too many changes in the forecast for us when it comes to winds but when it comes to temperatures, that's the big concern. of course, this is going to come as a surprise for some people. if you're not prepared. we're going back to school and back to work tomorrow after a long weekend in that triple digit weather holds on tight to us for at least three days, and then we start to cool down back into the 90s by friday. 80s heading into this weekend throughout those inland spots. but let's head over to the bay two, because we can't forget that this heat wave is going to impact everyone, regardless. if you live along the coast or all the way off into those inland spots with triple digit weather we're all going to warm

we have scorching heat through the sacramento valley through the san joaquin valley. so hot that their excessive heat warnings there and excessive heat advisories for our neck of the woods, including parts of the central valley. also parts of the east bay, much of the bay area except where you see communities near the ocean or near the bay. so you see what areas of gray that's not in the heat advisory, but the heat advisories extended for parts of the south bay east bay and north bay through friday night at 8 o'clock. here's how hot we are now. just below 100 degrees in the east bay. 99 for livermore in concord, 98 antioch, 97 fairfield, on the other hand, only 61 degrees and what? half moon bay and 72 for san francisco. yes, it's warmer than yesterday. if you thought it was you were right. santa rosa, 7 degrees, warmer 7 degrees also for nevada. so the weather headlines. today's another day of inland heat. tomorrow is another day of inland heat. and then we'll start to see cooling coming this weekend and beyond. i've got details coming up in weather. thank you, kathy

a lot of thunderstorm activity in the northern sacramento valley.nd was the big story for us yesterday. wind speeds have come way down. that's because the pressure gradients have relaxed. but look at all that activity. just just missing tahoe. i mean it's to the south. it's to the east. and a lot of that moisture is rotating around from what collapsed and headed back into mendocino county. but there's a lot going on. i tend to buy into the antioch and livermore. i think they could get a couple 100. that makes sense. maybe towards santa cruz. gilroy. that would not surprise me at all. there and see some of that activity around concord, also san ramon, danville, antioch. we've had some reports of light rain there and also towards the monterey area. there's been some activity down that way. i mean, just amazingly cool. and isothermal here, consistent on the temps for this time of year. usually there's some kind of separation. there's not this time. 32 truckee south, lake tahoe 40. there is a winter weather advisory for the central sierra above 8000ft.

right along the coastline in the 50's and 60's from the north to the south going toward this sacramento valley and the also down toward bakersfield. and dennis and 02:00am big bear. we've got toasty temperatures. las vegas, 87 at this moment in phoenix is 97 degrees. on the other hand, we do have the low clouds and fog moving in from the coast all the way stretching into oakland and hayward livermore. and we've got upper level low that's really keeping temperatures on the cool side. keeping fog right there. maybe some drizzle tomorrow morning and then it will start to clear out that the sunrise is at 6.40, and we're going to see blanket of fog in many places across the bay area. tomorrow will be pretty similar to today. you'll see how the fog lingers just a little bit toward half moon bay tomorrow morning. and then fe'll see some clearing in terms of wind gusts. pretty gusty at this hour, even through sanford, sandra fell at 20 miles per hour in fairfield at 18 miles per hour. the wind dies down a little bit tomorrow morning only to come back again. here's a litale tease. what's coming up? loo

when the winds are that strong, those low clouds tend to push all the way into the sacramento valleye overnight hours and early morning hours. temperature wise, it's a cool one out there in san francisco at 62 degrees right now. 66 in napa in our east bay, enjoying some mild weather today. 78 in brentwood. right now, 70 degrees over livermore. here's a comparison of where we should be for this time of year, and where we will be for the afternoon. 5 to 10 degrees below average, 76 in santa rosa, low 60s in san francisco. upper 60s oakland 79 for you. pleasanton 76. in san jose. this after numerous days of above average temperatures and when our inland cities were well into the 90s, no longer the case for the afternoon today we're calling for 79, in concord and livermore in the north bay. 76 santa rosa. upper 60s to upper 70s for our bayside communities. redwood city, one of the warmer spots at 77. meanwhile, from the coast into the city going to remain in the low to mid 60s. your extended forecast temperatures won't change a whole lot through wednesday. thursday we begin to see again

but we do see at the surface down to the sacramento valley, we might start to see some offshore winds that bleed into parts of the bay. so just to keep that in mind, but that will bring down those temperatures will like. and you'll see that in the extended 7 day forecast. art, the 4 zone forecast for today that is at 74 san francisco to the coast about 70 with upper 60's in place as well. 81 for burlingame, 84 for foster city, 88 for a palo alto with 89 redwood city in the south bay, lower 90's. 99, morgan hill. 95 for los gatos east bay shoreline, upper 80's upper 90's, though, for tri valley, near 100 for concord. so you can see pretty much status quo for today. again, that will be changing going forward. onshore winds help bring it down to the lake with 79. reversed there for fairfield. 91 going on for now. but in about a 95% are rosa. so here are the steps. first of all this weekend, little change happening there. we'll get some probably some bay clouds early on the day with maybe some drizzle. then the second drop wednesday down to the lower 80's for the middle of next week. so w
