news. hello there we haven't seen a lot of cloud. at least for the moment it's mild. the highest temperatures for england and wales. could make 18 or 19 degrees in anglia and the southd and wales there is more cloud and patchy rain affecting scotland and northern ireland it's going to be difficult to see the meteor shower overnight heading into tomorrow some showers will develop stronger when developing in the north. it's going to feel colder in northern areas and across the board temperatures are going to be a bit lower. 16 where the winds are light in the south but heading to scotland and northern ireland were getting a northerly wind developing here. we got some stronger when developing here along biscay... remnants of the x hurricane will be sliding up to scandinavia and that will allow the northerly wind to push cold air right way across the country for thursday. it certainly going to be a chilly start. many places could be dry on thursday. some showers around exposed coast. the strongest winds will be around the north sea coat as well. a tickly cold wind there. temperatures will be lower everywhere. 10 degrees in the central belt of scotland. 12 in the south.

news. hello again. we've had some heavy rain moving across parts of england and also wales this morning, and the whole lot is slowly pushing towards the southbe with us even through tonight and tomorrow in the far south—east, but it's going to weaken as we go through the next couple of days, the rain turning more showery. but you can see here, where we've got the greens in the chart, that is indicating some heavy bursts. this rain already falling on some saturated ground which could lead to further issues. a keen wind coming in from the north sea will accentuate the cool feel. but for scotland, northern ireland, parts of wales and the south—west, we will see some drier conditions. and in the north—west, certainly some sunshine. as we head through the evening and overnight, still a lot of cloud across much of england and wales. our weather front wrapped around an area of low pressure still producing some showers and still breezy. but we've got clearer skies as we push further north, for northern england, northern ireland and scotland, and in some sheltered glens temperatures could fall away to freezing, so locally we could wake up to a touch

south wales. he's believed to be the first vulture to receive �*stem cell treatment�* to help with his symptoms. 28—year—old vulture bernard is not newrst ever eurasian black vulture chick in the uk. but recently bernard has been suffering from arthritis in his stifle joint, and he's believed to be the first vulture to be treated for it with stem cells. he has gradually started showing symptoms of of arthritis in thatjoint being a little bit stiff, being a little bit sore. by exploring the opportunity and possibility of using stem cells which have been used in other animals but not vultures, we've really sort of tried to push what we might be able to achieve. the process started at the end of august, when bernard underwent surgery to harvest some of his tissue to grow the stem cells from. the stem cells were then grown for the next four and a half to five weeks. and finally, at the beginning of this month, they were injected into bernard's stifle joint. so far, he has definitely begun to sort of move around the aviary a little bit quicker and a little bit more confidently as well. the vulture trust says that, in the long term, this k
