you have to democrats trying to hold onto the seat that debbie stabenow is stepping down.ave a current democratic house member, alyssa slotkin, running against a former republican house member, mike rogers. could that affect that race? chad: absolutely. they are both pretty hawkish, pro-israel. they are, on paper, from a national security perspective, the exact same candidate. he used to be an fbi agent, she used to be a cia agent. whether she gets penalized by the arab and muslim voters of the state for it, is kind of what is the big unknown right now. john: democrats in michigan are trying to hold onto two open house seats, including one that slotkin is giving up. both of those races are rated as tossup spirit tell us about those races. chad: this is a race between tom berry, the republin who lost to slotkin by three or four points two years ago. and curtis junior who is a democrat and longtime politician in michigan. this is a race that is not. it is another race where the electric vehicle transition is on the ballot. lansing as an auto town has two gm plants. the futur

all, the reason we don't have a farm bill is because the democratic chairman in the senate, debbie stabenow, in the middle of the bill, they changed the baselines on the nonfarm parts of the bill. they added so much money, and this was part of the ira and the american rescue plan act that. fueled inflation they now have s.n.a.p. at 80% of the farm bill. it has nothing to do with farmers. it's an important program, but it diluted the money that goes to farmers. then she added a whole bunch on the conservation title which she calls the climate change title, which makes the conservation title now the same amount of money as the crop insurance program. i agree with katrina on this, we need to raise those reference prices, they have to reflect the modern cost of an additional, what, 25% of input costs because of joe biden and kamala harris's information. those input costs have gone way up. we need to do that and we also need a robust crop insurance program that provides a premium subsidy, again, to reflect the risk, because that is what the banker needs, the banker needs to know that they will g

senator debbie stabenow announced that she was retiring from the u.s.ate, and this new florida resident, mike rogers, he really wanted to run for that michigan u.s. senate seat. but unfortunately, that would mean he'd have to move back to michigan. well, mike rogers decided he would buy this lovely little house in white lake township, michigan. he bought it, then immediately knocked it down. this photo was taken by local reporter john king "the michigan advance" on april 30th. it shows an empty plot of land where the house mike rogers bought used to be. this picture i think redefines exceptional waterfront living. two months after this picture was taken, mike rogers registered to vote using that property as his home address. then one month after that, he voted for himself in the republican primary for that u.s. senate seat using that address as his voter registration location. now, all this is turning out to be a problem for u.s. senate candidate mike rogers. according to "the detroit free press," the house that mike rogers is still building on that spo
