let's speak to peter cheese, ceo of the chartered institute for personal development.orjoining us. i want to get to broad view, first of all, and what sort of impact you think these plans will have on economic inactivity. i plans will have on economic inactivity-— inactivity. i think they could have a very _ inactivity. i think they could have a very positive - inactivity. i think they could | have a very positive impact. many of the issues being discussed and the government is seeking to address have been with us for a long time. it is clear we do need to increase employment rates. we have a lot of people who are inactive and not seeking work, and there are a variety of reasons for that, but the combination of better support for health, mental health, occupational health, and support is a very key component linked together with better careers advice and guidance and support, reinvigorating job centres, some of the ideas around what coaches and so forth, and routes into work, particularly to support young people. it is the combination of different areas that have been
