ezra described your book -- you, the guy who predicted 20924 election. what surprised you in the 2024 election, whether through the exit polls or the results? >> i don't know if i predicted it. i think the breadth of this was something that surprised me. the young voters phenomenon specifically was something that -- i didn't write the book on generational politics. kristen did that called the selfie vote where she predicted a lot of -- i feel like a lot of her predictions or lot of the things she talked about have also come to fruition. i think the crosscutting nature of this shift it being something that really touched -- i think this was the key divide in this election was between people who were basically praoety safe and secure -- pretty safe and secure, relatively safe and secure, whether by virtue of the fact that they had a college degree, by virtue of the fact they were older an had plenty of retirement savings, by virtue of the fact they were married and sort of -- and had two incomes in a house. those groups all swung less. all the other groups
