welcome to ktvu crime files. not only reporting on bay area crim, but also offering advice for solutions. a surprise at a south bay safeway over the weekend. shoppers caught off guard when a group of bike riders started harassing people right in the parking lot of the store in willow glen. new at ten ktvu south bay reporter lamonica peter is live tonight with video of the swarming teenagers here. lamonica. mike, we spoke to a woman who says she saw the teens run into the safeway and take items out. she says she saw them throw things at people. and she was sitting in this nail salon when it all happened. so she took out her cell phone and shot video of what she could see. at first i just thought it was one of the bike parties, but it very quickly, within a matter of minutes, was clear that it was not. they stormed the safeway store. aaron ronen says around 1:00 saturday afternoon, she witnessed a large group of teenagers and some adults in the safeway parking lot on burd avenue with motorized bikes. she says some

ktvu has now learned the chp has identified the driver. thanks to amazon turning over the driver's information that driver now faces misdemeanor hit and run charges. ktvu has learned that a man is under arrest in a shooting that killed a woman in alameda county back in february. 44 year old leo evans was arrested by sheriff's deputies. they say 40 year old jennifer kelly jordan was killed and a man was injured in the shooting. that happened at one stop liquors in the ashland area near castro valley. investigators believe the shooting came during an argument between the suspect and the victims in san jose. >> police have arrested a man who they say went into a girl's locker room at a middle school with a camera. as ktvu is an rubin reports, parents are demanding answers on how the school let this happen. >> authorities say this man, travis street, was secretly recording young girls in a locker room. it happened at bret hart middle school in san jose, and parents are shaken. >> i would say that we kind of question, i think the safety. now, i

jesse gary, ktvu, fox two news. mike, back up to you in oakland. >> all right, jesse, thank you for that. mountain view police are searching for a barber who is now on the run. the santa clara district attorney has charged 34 year old franklin orloff with sexually assaulting two unconscious men. authorities say they believe he may have assaulted at least 20 men dating back to 2018. investigators say many of the victims appeared to be unconscious or severely intoxicated in videos, which they say were taken by the suspect. tonight, one person is in critical condition after driving a van into a house. this happened just before 730 in the morning in walnut creek. it's not clear how that van actually ended up in the home. firefighters did rescue the driver, who was then taken to a hospital in critical condition. there was one person in the house at the time, and they were not injured. back now to our top story and the storm moving through parts of the bay area at this hour. ktvu meteorologist mark tamayo out there on the

ktvu crystal bailey joins us now with the latest on today's board meeting.rystal. >> well, claudine, it was a unanimous vote for a special election that comes a week after a scathing 400 page report accusing sheriff corpus of having an improper work romance and for using racial and homophobic slurs. the board of supervisors unanimously approved a proposal tuesday to put a measure on the next ballot in march. if voters pass it, the measure would give county supervisors the power to remove a sheriff with a 4/5 vote. >> it only allows for the removal of a sheriff in certain instances where serious wrongdoing or wrongdoing has been found that jeopardizes public safety and trust. >> supervisors passed it with a sunset clause, meaning it would expire after sheriff corpus is out. >> we continue to hear of people leaving the sheriff's office because of the dysfunction there. it's not something that we would bring to the board if it if we didn't have to, if we didn't feel like our community absolutely needed this. >> the california state sheriffs association expresse

search fox local and choose ktvu. now to new information on a dire situation in the north bay where for the second time in three days, another boat has capsized off the sonoma county coast. two people were on board. the body of one person has been recovered. a second is still missing. meanwhile, the u.s. coast guard has suspended its search for a boat that sank saturday with six people on board. so far, only an 11 year old boy has been found alive. the body of a teenager was later found in the water. four others, three adults and one child, are still missing. officials say conditions during both incidents were bad, with high swells, strong currents and high winds. >> the coast changes really rapidly. there's a lot of power in that ocean and the water temps are really cold and conditions change quickly. so, you know, even an experienced boater can be caught off guard. >> the coast guard search area is from bodega bay to point reyes. there's no word on the condition of the 11 year old boy found over the weekend. bart po
