reyna harvey here in the studio. walk us through what we're learning about these cases. reyna.re sick right now. the country seeing 5 times more cases of whooping cough. this time. and last year here in california, more than 1700 cases have been reported. an estimated 20% of those cases traced back to the north bay. according to the california department of public health, marin county has the second most cases whooping cough in the state. only behind san diego, health officials in marin county say they investigated 355 cases of whooping cough so far this year. now living cough is highly contagious. experts say the surge is because a lot of people miss their vaccines during the pandemic here in the bay. the latest numbers in the health department show contra costa at 109 cases to the county san francisco city and county. 84 sonoma county. 65 mateo county. 54 39 in santa clara county. 35 in alameda, both napa and solano. less than 20 cases, young babies are especially vulnerable to catching whooping cough. you can read more about those symptoms online at kron 4 dot com. send it b

kron four's reyna harvey has more on california state propositions reyna. yes, still quite a few propositions that voters have to decide on this year. >> so let's start with proposition 2. the proposition would authorize bonds to public schools and community colleges to renovate fix and construct facilities. some of the money is going to be set aside for removing lead from the water. currently, more than 50% of the votes are in for proposition 2. as of right now, you can see is leading with 57% of the yes vote. let's head over to proposition 3. so that amends the state constitution to recognize the fundamental right to marry regardless of or raise currently proposition is projected to pass with 61% of the vote in the in the yes column there at least 53% of those votes are in. let's head over to proposition. 32 that would raise the state minimum wage to $18 an hour with 53% of the votes in right now. as of right now, it does not seen like proposition 32 will pass, but you can see there are 52% of that no vote currently in. finally, let's head down a proposit
