the santa clara county sheriff's office says a deputy tried to pull over a stolen vehicle in cupertinoly yesterday morning. the driver refused to stop. the sheriff's office says deputies chased the car into saratoga, where it crashed into a tree. four juveniles were inside. one of the passengers died and two others were hurt. deputies arrested the driver after he tried to run from the crash site. he is accused of vehicular manslaughter and felony evasion. a traditional thanksgiving run turned into a memorial for the victims of a fiery crash. piedmont 23rd annual turkey trot became a way for the community to mourn together. the race course was altered to take participants by the site where a tesla cybertruck crashed and caught fire wednesday morning. it killed three people and critically injured another. family, friends tell us all four people in the car were college students, home for thanksgiving. 5000 runners and walkers paid tribute to them, with more than 1500 flowers. >> it's good to see the power of community and how much we can come together and show love for the families and ev

starting to pick up some here in the north bay near oakland tri-valley out towards solano and contra costa countiesht. and notice the areas in purple higher peaks of the north bay. the diablo range, also the santa cruz mountains from now to about 9 to 10:00 tomorrow morning. then we begin to see less of the red and purple as some of those wind speeds do start to dial back a bit during the day tomorrow. so a gusty start to the mountains for the morning. 40s and 50s wind sheltered valleys, by the way, could see some low 40s tomorrow morning. but look at the effect of the offshore breezes with daytime highs. next few days we'll see those highs in the 70s. but really the top concern really isn't the temperatures, but the next round of the stronger wind speeds, which may have an impact on election day in terms of the timing. now, notice not only the wind speeds which do appear stronger, but the areas in purple and red, not just confined to the mountains anymore, but could be coming down to some bayside communities by the time polls close on tuesday. you see the map there peak wind speeds after midnight
