i own optical, an optical store on linden alley that was founded by my grandfather in 1911. as with other businesses that are not on the 400 block, my business is not directly affected by the share street's closure. however, we have experienced other street closures that directly affects us. in 2018, octavia between linden and hayes was closed as part of the octavia boulevard enhancement program. i was panicked at the traffic to my store would suffer because of this. it turns out it didn't make any difference. our store traffic remains consistent. we use traffic counters and geo locating. mta own study showed that most northbound traffic on octavia headed east on fell or north on franklin, and not to hayes street. as i said, while we're not on the shared streets block, we benefit greatly by the activations that bring people to our commercial corridor in 2023, four out of our ten busiest days were activations during activations such as our carnival, holiday stroll and head west market in 2024, five of our busiest days were during these activations, and we still have our holid
