appreciate it. >> michael baker, d.a.nother trend this holiday season is an increased use of ai chat bots. bank of america has research out quantifying it. salesforce use up 31% year over year. joining us is the author behind the pooes, justin post, research analyst at bank of america. the stuff really kind of works, justin, welcome. >> thanks for having me on. i appreciate it. >> where in particular do you think they're successful? >> sure. i think they really help people find values. people are looking for a value this holiday. not a lot of chatbottom usage last year. the numbers are up strong year over year. the sites that really ingrated with ai and integrated data with i are seeing a nice up tick in traffic this year. when people go on the site and say where can i buy the best product at the lowest price, ai chat bottoms are driving that traffic to retailers right now. >> can you give me some -- i have had zero experience with that. in other words, are you saying people are going to, like, open ai and asking for deal

. >> we have peter baker, thank you for being here on this very sad note, michael, i know that we are that jimmy carter passed not even 45 minutes ago so perhaps the white house has not issued an official statement but, give me what you think president biden must be going through right now, thinking about the passage of such a dignified and extraordinary president of the democratic party. >> well, alex, the presidents club is exclusive, only 45 men had ever served as the president, so joe biden will be mourning the loss of his predecessor and somebody with whom he had a very close and long-standing relationship, i think it is worth noting at this time that president biden, as then a young senator in his early 30s was the first lawmaker outside of georgia who endorsed governor carter when he launched his campaign for the presidency in 1976, that was the beginning of a relationship that continued through the years. it was one of great respect and one in which their interests were largely aligned especially on the issues, especially with foreign policy, both men consider the working clas

one of my closest working in the senate was howard baker, who was a minority leader of the republicans. and in the house it was bob michael who a minority leader of the in house. and so they they cooperated with me thoroughly. and i couldn't have had such a good batting average with congress. it was the best except for lyndon johnson since the since the second world war. i couldn't have had that good a batting average without full support from republican side. and that's completely absent now where the republicans been, in my opinion, completely irresponsible the first 18 or so months of obama's administration, and quite often he can't get a single vote, the house or senate, for a major go. and i had good support. so that's changed and the reason for that is enormous injection of money into the political campaigns. and now, of course, with a dopey ruling of the supreme court last january. we're going to have unlimited injection of money, hundreds of millions of dollars into the campaign by corporations and the donors don't even have to be identified. as a matter of fact, when i ran for president in 76 and ran for reelecti

baker is here. also joining us the president of the national action network, host of politic nation, the reverend al sharpton. with me at the table, democratic strategist and professor, political analyst basil's michaels talking about brian williams comments around religion and it wasn't just a biographical point for him. he led with that throughout his political career and he actually credits the time he grew up, not in plains but in archery, georgia, and he would say around african-american families. he played with them. he went to church with them, he went to school with them and he also talked about how this african-american bishop, reverend william johnson, actually had a profound impact on shaping his life so as he's campaigning for both governor and recognizing that you've got george wallace in alabama sort of leaning into segregation and he's determining, like i need to move away from this, he leads us well with his faith. he also becomes president at a time, and i took this as critical, you mentioned 76 point the gallup polls that a third of america at that time considered themselves born- again. a third of america. so he's becoming president at a time where after decades the evangelicals we
