back here locally, wilshire won't she?tic congresswoman barbara lee may or may not run for mayor of oakland. lee, who leaves congress early next year, posted on social media that she is considering running. lee says she will announce in early january her plans. a special election to fill the seat vacated by the removal of mayor sheng thao is scheduled for april 15th. charges have been dropped against all police officers involved in a deadly police encounter. it happened in 2021. it was a man named mario gonzalez who died while in police custody in alameda. the new alameda county district attorney or the interim alameda county district attorney, dropped the charges yesterday against officer eric mckinley. he was the third and final officer accused in the death of gonzalez gonzalez. you can see in that body cam video, died in police custody when officers pinned him to the ground while trying to detain him. the county coroner at the time cited methamphetamine as the cause of death, but an independent report determined gonzale
