east bay. the alameda county district attorney has charged 33 year old christopher schwenke with involuntary manslaughter, saying he started a fire at a home on 14th street in union city back in september. that one killed 66 year old ronald myers. schwenke was charged with murder back in 2019 after being accused of killing his father, who was an east bay regional park district ranger. that case was later tossed out due to insufficient evidence. massive waves caused part of a wharf in santa cruz to collapse just last week, when officials in the city plan on reopening the structure. >> plus, above the 80 corridor got a ton of snow with those atmospheric rivers. but it was less and less as we moved south through the state. >> parts of northern california have seen significant snowfall in recent weeks. why? forecasters have some concerns for water managers in the coming weeks. >> and speaking of the snow, we'll talk about the winter weather warning in effect for the greater lake tahoe area. plus the rain and when you should expect it, the bay area forecast is coming up right after this brief time out.
