ken: the fed is data dependent. the bond market moves very violently to all of the incoming monthly data. right now, the fed is in a bind because they do not know what the administration will rollout. i think they will stay on hold this meeting. the market is basically pricing that in and they will wait and watch what happens with inflation and jobs data and we will wait and see what comes from washington. sonali: how many rate cuts could the fed accomplished this year, lindsay? lindsay: as much as they need to if the inflationary labor market changes. what we think is likely is two cuts. we think that happens for the first time in june and it likely again in september. this makes sense based on our view of where inflation is going. we have done a really good job in the economy and the markets understanding inflation is coming down. it won't happen in goods. does that work is done. it won't really happen in services. that box is checked as well. what is remaining is oer, the housing component. we believe if you look

as ken mentioned. meanwhile, authorities are working to determine whether or not there is a connection between the attack in new orleans in this other incident involving a vehicle in the nevada city. just hours after the bourbon street attack, a tesla cyber truck exploded and burst into flames just outside the entrance of the trump international hotel. it's just off the vegas strip. here is video here. the fire killed one person inside the car and injured several others standing nearby. according to three senior law enforcement members, the blast is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack. the driver of the cyber truck drove the vehicle from colorado to las vegas early wednesday morning, and after reaching the hotel, the vehicle exploded 15 seconds later. according to the las vegas sheriff, at the moment, police have not released the identity of the person inside the vehicle. in a post on x, elon musk wrote that tesla was investigating the matter. clint, let's talk about this. obviously, you

ken, what else are we learning this morning? holly i have now confirmed with two federal law enforcement officials that the suspect is dead. unclear the circumstances of that, whether he was shot by police or committed suicide. but the suspect is dead at the scene. that was left unclear in the morning news briefing by the police and the fbi, although the police chief did say that this person set out to kill as many people as he could and called this an act of carnage and said it was a terrorist act. the fbi official who spoke appeared to contradict her and say it wasn't a terrorist incident. i am told by federal law enforcement official that the fbi is investigating this as potential terrorism. obviously, they need to run down a motive here, but in the common definition, this was clearly an act meant to kill a lot of people and to terrorize people. but again, the fbi taking the lead on this investigation, trying to run down the motive. but the suspect is believed to be dead and obviously identifying the suspect. once law enforce

ken, how is this going to play out in the next few days?g to be a really tough thing, as you saw there for those republican lawmakers to defend, particularly because many of them have called for the prosecution of people who attacked police officers. and look, we knew donald trump was going to pardon some january 6th defendants, but it is a shock that he pardoned people who are on video attacking law enforcement officers. and it is a real body blow to this building where i'm standing inside the justice department, because this was the single biggest criminal investigation in american history. nearly every field office, fbi field office and every u.s. attorney's office participated in trying to bring these january 6th attackers to justice. it was one of the highest priorities of the justice department. they put intensive resources into it, and they got long sentences for people who admitted to attacking police officers and to those organizers. you mentioned convicted of sedition, who got more than 20 years. they're all being released now. al
