as we take a look at our highs for this afternoon, we're headed up to 62 degrees in novato. today.may be slightly cooler in parts of the north bay, but overall we're still back in the mid to upper 60s. for the south bay. we had some low 70s in parts of the north bay yesterday, but we're going to see this weather on repeat throughout the weekend with some mid to upper 60s and then just a touch cooler on sunday, with a high of 62 expected in san francisco and 60 in dublin. there may even be some upper 50s in livermore, there will be a quick moving area of low pressure just off to our east. that's going to create a pressure gradient, that's going to make those winds flow faster between saturday and sunday. but as this high pressure remains in control across the region,t's going to block any chances of rain for quite a while. and we just got the word that we officially have an la nina developing. and what that means is in the equatorial pacific, the trade winds that move off towards the west are building up a pool along the equator of some cooler than normal water temperatures, and so

so looking at visibility in novato, we're down to zero as far as the current visibility. and it's been fluctuating. so i've been looking at half moon bay at times. it's at zero right now it's at eight. so the fog is moving around. and we're seeing at times some clear visibility than other times. just be careful because you may run into a wall of fog where visibility quickly drops off. but we're also going to be watching the coastline for another reason. the waves will be building today, and we are going to have a beach hazard statement going into effect as we go into later tonight, into the day tomorrow. some of those breakers may build anywhere from 15 to 20ft. we do have a storm that is well off the coast. that's building up some of those bigger waves, but for us, we are enjoying some quieter weather compared to what we've seen recently. and then we are seeing some rain, as well as a chance of sierra snow with what we call an inside slider. so that's an area of low pressure that doesn't come in from the coast, but is more moving from north to south. and we're seeing tha
