phil. >> andrew, it was not long ago when internal combustion vehicles were a large part of the market.id see in the united states for the first time internal internal combustion vehicles dropped for the year. u.s. a smidge under 80%. the real growth is hybrid electric vehicles. toyota shares sales of hybrids up 48%. they sold nearly 1 million hybrid vehicles last year. that's why as you look at the market share, toyota dominates that market. still sells 1 out of every 2 gas/election hybrid. hyundai and ford in there as well as stellantis. in terms of the electric vehicle market, it did not grow as fast. up 7% for the year. as you look at shares of toyota, excuse me, tesla. its sales in the united states, 633,000 vehicles. it is not as many as they sold in china, but the china market has cooled off in past years. look at the market leaders with evs. tesla no longer has more than 50% market share in the united states. market share coming in at 48%. hyundai at 10%. gm has grown in third place ahead of ford. you see bmw. don't forget as you look at shares of tesla over the year. we will he

phil. >> this andrew happened just before 9 p.m. last night. we don't have a whole lot of answers in terms of actually what caused this. and that's going to take some time to figure out completely. but here's what we do know. this mid-air collision happened about 300ft above the surface. it was an american airlines regional jet on final approach to reagan national. 60 passengers, four crew members. it collided with a u.s. army black hawk helicopter, which was on a training flight. there were three soldiers on board. this is a map that shows you where that american flight was scheduled to land. and its runway 33, the shortest runway. that's the approach that the american airlines flight was on as it was coming into reagan national. both aircraft then after the collision, crashed into the water of the potomac river. this security cam footage, which came out last night, gives us a rare look at something we rarely see when it comes to an aircraft accident. the actual moment of impact, if you will, that light coming towards you. that is the american

of the 39th president and his family, is also there, is expected to land at joint base andrews in maryland. cnn's phil mattingly joins us now from joint base andrews. so walk us through, phil. what we can expect when the casket arrives. >> yeah. pamela, what's striking in this six day state funeral for the 39th president is how many elements are so deeply personal, so deeply symbolic to the man that he was throughout the course of his life, with the exception of what's about to happen here in the course of the next hour or so, when he lands here at joint base andrews, you will see something that is very traditional tracks with the same types of ceremonial elements that we saw when ronald reagan came back to washington for the state funeral, when george h.w. bush was brought from texas back to washington. the state funeral, in fact, the plane that jimmy carter's casket is on right now is the same exact plane that george h.w. bush used in his trip from texas to this airport here a few years ago. what you will see is the casket will be removed. there will be an honor guard that will be there, and you wil

let's go live now to cnn's phil mattingly, who is at joint base andrews just outside d.c. and, jeff, special air mission 39 is due to land any minute. >> yeah. special air mission 39. most people will look at the flight and think it's air force one. that's obviously only the case when the current president is on board. this will actually be the same plane, though, jake, that george h.w. bush took in his final journey from texas to joint base andrews and then back to texas. and while much of this six day state funeral for jimmy carter is extraordinarily personal and very symbolic of the life he lived from plains, georgia to washington and back, this particular part of that six day state funeral will be very traditional, one that underscores reverence for the office and the man, when he arrives, lands, taxis and settles here at joint base andrews. his casket will be taken off of the airplane. there will be an immediate move towards the honor guard, where they will play several hail to the chief. there will be a 21 gun salute and then there will be a procession. jimmy carter

phil lebeau joins us now with finally some good news in the skies. >> well, you are not alone in complaining about internet access when flying, andrew, and, yes, they deploying starlink on commercial flights starting this spring but it's going to take some time though by the end of the year you will start to see it on more of the mainline flights. they announced this deal in terms of putting starlink on all of their flights, all of their planes. they announced this last year. what they're announcing today is that they are accelerating the deployment of starlink, what they're going to do is try it out this month and then they're going to put it on commercial flights starting this spring. it will be on all regional united flights, all of the planes on the regional fleet will have starlink by the end of this year and they're going to start to put it on the mainline commercial flights later this year. so, andrew, i'm not sure how many regional flights you take on united, you may not see it right away. in terms of access it's going to be free for mileage plus members so if you join mileage plus, become a frequent flier you will get free internet access
