uc berkeley police say they made an arrest after an attempted sexual assault on campus. the attack happened last week at the university village in albany. officers are not revealing any details about the suspects in custody, but they are sending sending out safety tips, including being aware of your surroundings and traveling in groups. the university encouraged students to consider using location tracking services so friends know where they are. other suggestions as students use night safety shuttles whenever possible and to report suspicious activity to campus police. a south bay inmate on life support after being attacked by other inmates. the attack happened on monday at the elmwood correctional facility in milpitas. the santa clara county sheriff's office says deputies found the inmate unconscious. he was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery for traumatic head injuries. three inmates were identified as suspects and transferred to the main jail in san jose. the sheriff's office says they are all now facing charges of attempted murder and torture. it's an
