investigative reporter candice nguyen is with us. you talked about this a few months ago with one student. now it's grown to three. perhaps there's more down the road. why is getting a diploma high school diploma a bad thing? usually we celebrate that. yeah, we usually celebrate it. well, first of all, a diploma should always reflect the education level of that student. some of these students say that wasn't the case for them. and when they receive that diploma improperly in their opinions, it essentially kicked them out of the special ed system. they said after that diploma, the county told them, you are no longer eligible for that free county covered adult transition schooling that they were relying on because college isn't an option, and this is a service that public schools are obligated to provide. qualifying special ed students up until the age of 21. okay, but if they get the diploma, they're off the hook, so to speak. financially they're out. yea okay. are the programs short staffed? what's the what's the reasoning? is it a f
