nbc bay area's christie smith shows us what's still to come. skies were clear in san francisco's sunset neighborhood today for a celebration. today we are celebrating the lunar new year in the sunset, so we have performances. we are lucky to be at the outer sunset farmer's market so folks can come by and buy their groceries and stuff for the week, but also come by and see some performances. have a lot of kids activities. lily wong is director of the sunset chinese cultural district, which is behind the sunset lunar new year festival. i think it's very important for us to just celebrate our culture, celebrate our history and the diversity that we find in san francisco. organizers say they've been putting this on for the last couple of years, and it does keep getting bigger. neighbors we spoke with say they like that. it's so close and easy to get to. we're all involved and all together, so it's fun. yeah. there were speakers today, including mayor daniel lurie, who also reminded people about the exciting week ahead. it is going to be an incredib

christie smith, nbc, bay area news. thank you christie. now what a difference 24 hours make last night. at this time, much of the bay area was getting hit hard by rain. well, today the sun was out giving for most of the day. what that does is it gives us a clear view of what yesterday's storm left behind and what needs to be fixed before tomorrow's storm. the view you're looking right now is of niello road in guerneville. obviously flooded in that area right in front of us. you're taking off live right now with nbc bay area's drone ranger. as we fly above the scene of the flooded and closed road, we can see, of course, a rv or mobile home on the right which is flooded as long as well as that home. this scene repeated all up and down areas about next to the russian river. niello road runs parallel to the russian river up in guerneville, and you can see where it has flown over the banks and closed down that river right now. scenes like this all over the north bay after yesterday's storm, and maybe as well after the storm that's coming up. le
