the coast guard said they were not able to access them. the plane vanished thursday afternoon during a flight between two small towns over the western coast of alaska. here are some moments that air traffic control noticed something was wrong. >> altitude alert, 445, check your altitude immediately. radar contact lost. >> the plane departed around 2:40 local time and lost contact with air traffic control about 40 minutes later, only about 10 minutes before it was scheduled to land. we know the pilot told air traffic control he would stay in a holding pattern as he waited for the runway to clear. right before the plane disappeared, the coast guard said it had a rapid loss of elevation in speed, then the visibility was lost. visibility was low at the time of the disappearance but a lot of this remains a mystery as the ntsb is sending a team to investigate the crash. >> a lot of questions, thank you. >>> in less than 36 hours, the kansas city chiefs will take on the mraufl eagles. tens of thousands of fans are packing into the superdome. the
