but, for now, darren is here. what is air quality? >> surprisingly from looking at this picture, not terrible. but there are two distinctions. i can show you what the particles. but what is going into that plume? there is been team in it. there are other chemicals you do not want to breathe in. that is why there is an air quality district for that part of the bay. first off, let me show you some of the challenges to this. it has come back over to where martinez is, right over here. look at the wind streams. how is that smoke going to impact communities? which way is the wind blowing. so the wind is going to be blowing that smoke generally off to the northeast. there is a camera pointed right at it. this has become one of the most unique features in the state of california since we have really brought in our ability to monitor wild fire. this network of cameras can show you plumes of smoke and fires anywhere in the state and they have got it trained on the plume smoke coming out of the refinery. this camera sits directly to the south.
