chairman, my name is donna brazile.proud member, long-standing member, at member of the democratic national committee. mr. chair, i rise because earlier when we came into this room you called upon us, mr. chair, to vote our conscience. you called upon us to have an open, free, fair election. mr. chair, you called upon us, as democrats, to come together to hear from our candidates. mr. chair, as we prepare to vote i would like you to reiterate what you have called upon us to do today as democrats, as americans, to be able to cast our ballot, free and fair without retaliation. that means that no matter who you support or not support, no matter who you vote for and stand up for, we are going to stand as democrats, and americans, and believe in free elections. we are not republicans. we don't suppress. we don't disparage you because you did not vote. we are democrats. we love america. we support the right to vote. mr. chair, i ask, in my humble opinion, as a former national chairwoman, as a former national vice chair, but p
