this happened on almaden expressway this afternoon.e don't know what led up to the crash, but police say several cars were involved. officers did close almaden expressway in both directions for several hours from hillside avenue to branham lane. now, those roads have since reopened. the driver who was hospitalized is said to be in critical but stable condition. a lot of concern in the san francisco neighborhood. after a barrage of bullets hit homes and cars. it happened in the duboce triangle. sfpd says the gunman had chased a man, then fired at least 17 shots at him. the man got away uninjured, but there are at least a couple of cars and homes that were hit by the bullets. according to sfpd and supervisor rafael mandelman, it all started with the man driving away from a club in the castro around 3:30 a.m. monday. he told investigators he noticed two cars following him and he crashed trying to get away. he also said that multiple people started shooting at him when he jumped out of his car and ran away. i was sound asleep, but all of a
