let's get the latest right now with our meteorologist kyla grogan. yeah. summit taking a lot half moon bay where normally we set a very calm bay that is here take you right back here and check out all of the waves and the white caps that are on them. an indication of the wind that is rolling through here right now. in fact, they've had gusts today that were in the 45 to 50 mile per hour range. you can see across the entire bay we've been dealing with a lot of wind as we go throughout today. we'll notice it will pull back as we get into the evening and then by tomorrow morning we will wrap that up. we are under wind advisory has been lifted for the north bay and for san francisco. but for the rest of the peninsula, south bay, east bay. and also as you can see along the delta, they're still under this wind advisory through about 11:00pm tonight. and so we still have that concern of this wind. it's that kind of thing we walk outside in the rain comes down and then you take a step forward and it comes at you because of the wind just kind of adds insult to inju

our meteorologist kyla grogan here now details. we got a lot of rain yesterday. he got so much rain yesterday, in fact, are setting records yesterday. daily records. san francisco is one of them. 2.8, 9 inches of rain that beat a daily record all the way back to 18 87. but by the way, not the only record the here. a couple of i looked up. >> napa and santa rosa, which both got around 2.8 inches. those are records for the day and then look at cannes film, not a record, but an incredible amount of rain. 5.3, 6 inches. sandra fell just under 4 and a half. and you can see oakland and san jose there inch and a half for oakland. little bit over that. and san jose just over an inch. what a day. what a day. and now today we have the nice dry ground here at the embarcadero in san francisco. and i think everyone myself included appreciates it today. we do have a flood watch. that is up for marin and sonoma counties. and you can see that and that is for the rain. it's gonna be coming in tomorrow. we are under the flood warning in and around that russian river area and also

let's get the update now from kyla. yeah, that actually looks a whole lot better that it had a couple of hours ago. but still some of that snow coming down. this is actually taking 70 where we normally can see have to them. you can't see much. but you do see some fresh snow on the trees. cameras are actually haven't been working too well today. i think it's because of all the weather that's up there. 37 degrees right now south lake tahoe. we've got wind out of the south about 60 miles per hour. and so obviously we get the rain and then it rolls right up to the sierra and they're getting the snow. and right now we're getting kind of that mix between snow and rain. so following along those lines. i as we get into the overnight hours that will likely see more of that turn to snow once again as we continue to pick this up as we go throughout the night and even into the first part of tomorrow. so you can see where these winter storm warnings are and it does go for the sierra for the top of area until noon on friday. and, you
