the group called san jose action met with mayor matt mahan last week over homeless encampments along the great oaks parkway. mayor mahan said that it can't months near and a couple of art will be cleaned in 3 weeks, adding that once a temporary housing site offers 150 beds. well, no return policy will then be enforced. that site is expected to be open by the end of the year. police in san francisco, meanwhile, are looking for the person accused of assaulting a man with a metal pipe. it happened on 24th and bryant streets just last month. the witness told officers the victim and the suspect got into an argument that then turned physical. the victim made a post on x about the incident saying the attack was completely random. with 2 men accused of selling drugs in san francisco. tender line are now facing multiple felony charges. police arrested the man after witnessing a drug deal on eddy street. they say minor was involved in helping in the sale of those drugs. police uncovered fentanyl, cocaine and heroin before they arrested the 2 men last month. district attorney brooke jenkins say

mahan is among the bay area officials who spent the weekend in new orleans for the game. his office says he spent time looking at other events in the city happening around the super bowl. he also took part in two days of pretty intense meetings with the nfl and the new orleans super bowl host committee. this comes as levi's stadium is in the middle of a $200 million renovation to prepare, despite being nearly 11 years old. that includes installing a new led field lighting system and new video boards that will be the largest 4k display in the league. the bay area host committee estimates hosting the super bowl could have an economic impact of anywhere from 370 million to $630 million on the region, with up to 160 million of that just in santa clara county alone. now, today's handoff ceremony is happening in new orleans. that's expected to happen in about 90 minutes. and mark your calendars, super bowl 60 will be happening right here at levi's stadium on march 8th of next year. live in santa clara. lena howland, abc seven news. >> all right, lena, thank you. and overnight i
