mccormick, my question for you today. do veterans receive due process before the va reports them to nicks? >> absolutely not. >> and what roadblocks do veterans experience in the appeals process? >> multiple. it's a timely and it's a costly process that, you know, you're asking a veteran to go and fight to re-secure the very rights that they serve to defend and protect. so you're stripping them of a constitutional right. that's a fact. and then you're asking them, well, you've got an opportunity, you can go and fight for it. well, i guess we could pull you over, arrest you for something, and say, well, you can always fight. to get your right of freedom back, and i think that's the issue is the level of fairness and the lack of due process as far as the judicial process. it's just ultimately unfair. does it erode trust in the va for veterans? >> 100%, 100% erodes trust in the va. >> ok, thank you, mr. chairman. i yield back. >> yes, ma'am. thank you, ms. may. ms. dexter, you recognized for 5 minutes. >> thank you, mr. chairman, um, and thank you first, uh, to you and ranking member mcgarvey
