pam cook is back in studio with this and more in dollars and cents. >> to talk about job cuts. announced plans to cut 20% of its workforce over the next two years. the company was based in san ramon before moving its operations to houston last year, but it does still have thousands of workers based here in the bay area. i don't have the specific numbers of those jobs yet, but chevron only has eight job openings listed in the in the entire country. right before the opening bell rang this morning, the other part of the inflation report was released. the producer price index measures prices at the wholesale level, similar to the consumer price index that was released yesterday. the january producer price index shows inflation is up from this time last year. economists are certainly watching to see how the trump administration's policies on immigration and tariffs impact prices. so far not impacting the markets this morning. up across the board as we take you live to the new york stock exchange, the dow jones up about a quarter of a percent. the s&p 500 actually up a little more th
