of his classmates are coming forward saying this is a bigger problem. and the county program has been failing deaf students. the santa clara county office of education runs this deaf and hard of hearing program. it's special ed director acknowledged staffing issues with interpreters last year at a board meeting. twins leah and mina fritz and their classmate rody flores sat down with me saying it was so bad that for two years they had a substitute teacher who did not know sign language and was not credentialed to teach them. leah told me she often had to interpret for the class. it was unfair because we are not interpreters. we are students who wants to learn, right? but i think chrome dome. but i don't care. we are not the only program facing this need, but that doesn't mean we are not tackling it with every single angle that we can. now, leah says a lot of her classmates graduated with diplomas while only reading at a third grade level. the twins say they had to relearn basic reading and math in college this year. and what about the students where college is not an option? we investigate why they say the county is denying them the transitional supp
