kron 4 sarah stinson talk to public works about how they're prepared. >> high winds in san francisco monday afternoon coupled with rain at night. the national weather service has issued a flood watch until wednesday and a wind advisory in till tuesday afternoon for them are in hills, san francisco, in coastal north bay with wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour. rachel gordon works with the city's public works department. she says they sent crews out to prepare. we've been out all day trying to keep the storm drains clear. so remove any leaves litter. so if there is a lot of water that's going down, they can go into the storm system. >> and really minimize the chance of localized flooding. tree crews also removed vulnerable branches from trees. story of some trees. but if there are high winds and heavy rains, some trees can come down. we see that a lot. and storms. gordon says if you see a clog storm drain causing flooding, you can call 3, 1, 1, or you can safely clear it out yourself. but we want people to do it safely. you're doing. and so you can use a rake and is the way to do it. w
