south lake tahoe is ten. reno is 18.e heading shasta trinity, there's going to be some really low snow. look at this. this cold air is trapped. and so the snow level could be around 2000ft. you might even get some freezing rain right up around the oregon border just now for tahoe. it'll start off around 3000 504,000, then go up to 6000 before it starts to drop to 4500ft. but it's the shasta trinity area that you need to watch. rain returns add a little bit, but that low will strengthen and deepen right off the oregon california border. and then we'll get a roaring jet stream about 150 knots. and that will enhance some of this rainfall. you take this deep moisture, you know, lift it, cool it, condense it, and boy, you can get some wring out some pretty big totals, santa cruz mountains. but i'll say everyone, i mean, i mean, even look at livermore and concord, if they get that much, that's, you know, that's a big system for them. heavy rain likely though, especially tomorrow, 4 to 6, maybe seven. isolated 7 or 8 would not

we'll show you what's happening up there right now at south lake tahoe. here's the problem. it's 45 degrees. and the low this morning was 38. you are not going to get lake level snow like that. but look what's coming in the next five days. temperatures starting to cool down. snow on the increase as we move forward. you get heavy snow on tuesday and more at elevations down to 4 or 5000ft. thursday into friday. so you just heard how the sierra snowpack is sitting at 65% of average statewide. if this verifies 4 to 5ft of snow in the higher elevations, we might boost that average closer to 70%, maybe 75%, in another week or so. stay tuned. february so far starting off pretty good for the sierra. now closer to home. no snow here. we're going to have increasing rain later tomorrow. wind also increasing during the day, and those colder temperatures might just be cold enough by friday morning to see snow locally near 4000ft. right now it's not cold in the mornings. that's going to change later on. we'll get lows in the 30s back in the bay area, but not tomorrow morning. we wake up t
