let's start with meteorologist vianey arana and vianey. a lot of areas getting hit really hard right now. certainly. and you mentioned those severe thunderstorm warnings. and this is our mobile doppler radar storm ranger i'm going to zoom this in because we do have a severe thunderstorm warning that was just issued for san mateo county and santa clara county. now this will be in place until about 445. but of course, we had severe thunderstorm warnings as well for areas in the north bay and san francisco. now those have since expired, but we're keeping a close eye because we're seeing an intensity in that line of showers that's moving through. but also gusty winds play a big role in this, and i want to zoom in and show you the picture of where we're seeing that rain and kind of what we're noticing on radar here. notice we've still got some light to moderate rain coming down in the north bay. but if i zoom this in a bit closer to areas around orinda, you'll notice that we've got some heavier pockets as well. moving through oakland right alon

i'm really looking forward to that relief that vianey is talking about. yeah, we definitely saw some downpours this morning. a little break this afternoon, but the rain and the wind has really picked up as vianey was talking about certain to add slowing on that evening commute and to get an idea of just how much water has fallen in these storms. we have a before and after video. we took video of the guadalupe creek in downtown san jose before the storms on monday. then we have some updated video from today. water is flowing over two large rock there. there's also more garbage along the banks from upstream. the wind also picked up this afternoon and was causing problems. it brought down a large branch in ronnie cardoza's backyard. went back home to eat lunch and one of the branches broke off from the wind and yeah, went right into the patio section of my apartment, so that's not fun. yikes. the wind definitely causing some problems and the creeks and rivers swollen there. ian, you spoke with valley water. are there any concerns about flooding in the south
