imports oil from alberta, saskatchewan and the east coast, gasoline from the refinery at irving down the east coast. we already know and i must say that danielle smith the premier of alberta who has the biggest trade deal with the united states in oil, 300 plus billion per year, she took a tremendous amount of heat by going to see trump just before he became president in maralago but she is the only one that's a winner right now, she has a 10% tariff, not 25 on all the rest of the sectors. but if you really think about the canadian situation, if you just take oil out of the equation there is no trade imbalance and i'm sure that once there is leadership in canada in place which is days away now till the election this thing will get worked out so even if -- it's not in anyone's benefit to have a trade war with a giant trading partner in energy, cars and everything else particularly when there isn't really a deficit outside of the energy so very instrumental behind the scenes and saying let's not be crazy with energy because our costs will go through the roof. if we tariff our own sourc

alberta is first and if they sign on, saskatchewan would follow and then we go west to british columbia. there is a movement in canada to join us. want to get your thoughts on that. >> it's true. a lot of people in canada or liking becoming our beautiful cherished 51st state. they will have to pay much lower taxes. they will have the ultimate security. i don't pay very much for security which is really unfair to us. they make cars that we could make and send them back to the united states. they make a lot of things including the sending of oil. we don't need their oil, we don't need their lumber. we are freeing up our forests. we are going to be able to take down trees. we are so restricted environmentally, we have an emergency order and we are going to be freeing up our forests. we have more forests than almost anybody and great lumber, great trees. we don't need trees from canada or anybody else. the area in between trees stops the fires and frankly california should've been doing that for years. they're going to run out of forests the way they are going. what a shame. by the way the

he didn't put 25% on canadian oil which is the most inexpensive oil imported into america out of albertadaniel smith went down to mar a lago, took a lot of heat for it. met with trump before he got the you know, he became president and whether or not that was the reason, he only put 10% on her. but that is basically the entire trade imbalance. canada actually imports more of everything else except oil. so if you took oil out the $300 billion worth of oil that u.s. imports at a $13 a barrel discount, there's no trade imbalance. and trump is not. he knows that. and burgum knows that. and howard lutnick knows that these guys are not dumb. they're going to figure it out. i think everybody has to realize it's part of a process. and if you don't understand that. you should have figured that in the last 12 years. i actually think this will end up being a good thing in the end. i understand the angst on both sides of the border is not just with canadians. and by the way, you don't have to sell the country. there's no loss of sovereignty for canadians. economic union is a massive opportunity that
