contra costa county fire says it helped assist the hercules department. authorities say two people were stranded in the water. one of them was rescued. the search for the second victim is in progress at last check. it is unclear, though, how the two people became stranded. there are unconfirmed reports. they may have been on a boat that capsized in santa cruz county. heavy surf today prompted officials to close capitola beach and wharf. authorities say crews have had to make several water rescues in rough surf today. they also say fast-moving debris in the water is a potential danger to the public. no injuries were reported. police sharing a warning on social media asking people to stay away from the beach and off the wharf, and reminded residents and visitors that roads and businesses remain open. >> and a high surf advisory is in place right now, right on through 9 p.m. monday. so just be extra careful right near the immediate coastline for tomorrow and into monday. some sizable surf out there. as far as rainfall totals, we're actually welcoming back so
