you have one of them, the owner of perhaps the most president. shows on msnbc. isn't there a risk, because sometimes i'll be watching a tv news programme, and i'll think, "i can see what they're doing here. "they're shooting for the viral moment," and sometimes it can feel that it's distorting the quality of the output. it can do. it can do, ros. not undermine but... go on. clearly he's trying to go for a certain angle i think you can overdo it. but look, for example, i did an interview with mark regev, one of my last interviews for msnbc, who, as you know, is a very prominent spokesman for the israelis, most people don't lay a glove on him. would argue i got the better of him in that interview. it's not that it is not -- it is important to be on cnn, msnbc and fox but local sources are much more trusted than national. made sure to sit down at a soft -- at a coffee shop with the local station and that was the focus of our attention so when problems arose we had relationships built. we knew who to contact. they knew who to contact to make sure small problems did not become big problems, exaggerated or misinterpreted. we held a series of stakeholder meetings with nonprofits, nonpartisan, nonpolitical orgs. in the past they were dominated by nonprofits that were not partisan but were perceived as being left of center. i made special effort to include and invite nonprofits that were perceived to be right of center to make sure everyone was included. they brought issues to our attention so we could head them off in advance. also engaging state agencies. everyone under the governor's direction, i am an appointed secretary of you, so working with the governor's office was critical to make sure everyone in state government could work together and keep regular communication going at th
